Cristo Redentor Church and Christ Kids

Christ Kids is teaming up with Pastor Percy Padilla and the Cristo Redentor Church.

New construction will provide a kitchen, bathrooms, and classroom space for the church, while also allowing the new partnership with Christ Kids to grow. We need $75.5K to complete first and second floor construction. Can you help?

Christ Kids opened a new site in 2022 in one of the poorest and most violent neighborhoods in Trujillo. Twenty children receive nutritious meals, medical care at our Bethesda Clinic, specialized tutoring in reading and math, and participate in Bible Club and Sunday School. In addition, their mothers participate in the ladies’ program in the church. The program is proving to be a great blessing to the children and their families, but it is also proving to be a boost to the church.

Pastor Percy and his flock have warmly embraced the children and their families and even received new church members as a result of the program. There are enormous needs in the neighborhood, and the program could easily grow to 120 children if we had sufficient facilities.

Construction plans include three floors, with desperately needed bathrooms and kitchen on the first floor, and then classrooms on a second and third floor.

Immediate needs:

  • $5,500 to complete the 1st floor kitchen

  • $37,000 for 2nd floor classrooms (structure)

  • $28,000 for 2nd floor classrooms (finishings)

Completing the first floor will enable us to add 20-30 more children to the program. Completing the second floor would allow us to add a further 20 children.
